  • Basalt is Intrusive
  • 1-3 mm it is finely grained
  • It is dark colored with white in it sometimes
  • it forms from lava. When a volcano erupts it settles in the ground and forms underground
  • The minerals that are in this rock are Plagioclose and Pyroxene.

  • It forms almost everywhere. Since it forms from volcanic eruption it forms all over the world
  • Basalt is used for floor tiles and on some roads. It is also used as "therapy stones" but mostly known as "Hot Rocks" for when you get a massage.
